In 1945, when the Communists came to occupy Hanoi, he escaped the North. In South Vietnam, after graduation from Saigon Law School, he had been a judge, then a Congressman. He had been the Secretary General of the National Assembly, then a Senator before running away from Saigon in 1975 as a boat people when the Communists came to occupy the South. After many days he had been picked up by an American ship to become a refugee in this new country.view less
