He has always been intrigued by the history of his home town and the greater San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, he served as an officer in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Lieutenant, before his honorable separation from active duty in 1972. Three months after leaving the Navy, he entered Law School at the University of California, at Davis, and graduated in June 1975.
Ron, as he prefers, worked for the Federal government until his early retirement on September 30, 1999, and then taught high school history and adult education. He returned to Federal employment in 2006.
Ron was introduced to screen writing by a family friend in the fall of 1996. He soon discovered that writing was his passion, and began writing spec scripts. Since then, he has participated in local writing groups, attended numerous writing classes, workshops, and conferences, always looking to improve his craft.
Ron has completed three spec scripts, and in August of 2009, he completed his first novel, “Maximillion Slaughter: That Ain’t No Jive.” a murder mystery, which takes place in 1944 and is laced with historical content.
Ron has three children and one grandchild, and resides in San Leandro, California.view less
