She read fairy tales to them at bedtime, but when she ran out of fairy tales, she thought it would be fun to invent a few stories of her own. She was encouraged by her father-in-law, Donald Brown, who was a reporter and writer for the Detroit Free Press. He edited and gave her suggestions as she wrote her stories.
One Christmas season, the money that she had saved for gifts for her children, was stolen. The only gift she could give them was a Christmas story. At the prodding of her children, she would write another story each year at Christmas time, reading the previous stories before Christmas Eve when she would read the new story. This has become a tradition.
Lynda always wanted a horse when she was a little girl but was never granted one. She acquired her first horse when she was an adult. She has had many horses in her lifetime and many learning experiences. Horses have become a part of her soul.
Lynda lives with her husband, Dennis, in Southern California. She is a Real Estate Agent for Century 21 Lois Lauer Realty. In her spare time, she writes. In the spring and summer months she shows miniature horses with her grandson, London.view less
