The family suffered multiple deaths, including their parents and grandparents. They were raised by their one surviving maternal grandparent during their junior and senior high years in Kansas City, Kansas. After graduation they both worked at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Missouri for several years. Later they both received a Masters Degree in Education from Kansas University and have worked with children of all ages throughout their long careers. In addition, they both shave raised sons of their own. They have shared their poetry with each other over the years. It has served as a means to vent their frustration, joys and sorrows. What has impressed them is how differently they express themselves, both in mood and style. Yet there is a consistent thread running through the works based on their individual ife experiences. This is the second Dueling Sisters to be published. A possible third one is in the works. .view less
