I went to Korea as a Private as was promoted to Sergeant First Class. I was an Operation Master Sergeant with the 5th Special Forces Group and a Company Commander (Captain) with the 101st Airborne Division. I have experience and understand what war is all about.
I was born in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico in a small town by the name of Humacao. I attended the University of Puerto Rico, but was drafted to the Korean War. My mother was Nurse and my Father worked as a Recorder in San Juan Federal Court. I was raised during the Great Depression and the Second World War. My mother died when I was 10 years old and my father when I was in Korea. I was a baseball player before going to Korea. I served in Korea with the 15th Infantry, but two of my cousins served with the 65th Infantry.
I made a career in the United States Army, but I overcame many obstacles simply because I was a native Puerto Rican and during those days life was very difficult for all Hispanics. Nevertheless, I was able to overcome the obstacles and I served for 30 years. I completed my bachelor degree while I was in the Army and my Master and Doctor degree in Business Management after leaving the military service. I worked for ITT Corporation as a Logisticvs Manager for 16 years.view less
