After his O-Level years of secondary school, Kirunda was nominated to represent his country at the United World College – USA in New Mexico. He earned his International Baccalaureate Diploma at the school. He studied his bachelor’s degree in Engineering at Lafayette College, Pennsylvania, USA, before earning a master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Texas at Austin. After working for 7 years in the civil engineering and financial services industries in New Mexico, Texas and Utah, in 2011 he started working in the oil and gas industry in Uganda, Ghana and London. A three-time published author, Kirunda’s books are all focused on giving a unique voice from the vantage point of someone born and raised in Africa, but fully global in worldview. When not working or writing, he enjoys listening to world music, watching rugby, playing golf and travelling the world.view less
