R. Dahra Hargaalga Snr. (The Oboiro) was born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria (1942). He was initiated into a masquerade secret society in 1950; confirmed Christian 1960.
He left for Western Germany on scholarship to study engineering (1962). Worked as engineer in West Berlin (1967)
An alumnus of the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada (1974), he researched human personality, focusing on aberration arising from initiation and funeral rituals among Africans and their descendants.
He returned home in 1977 to continue the research at source.
He was proclaimed Oboiro in 1990.
