Winroy O. Williams graduated from the University of the West Indies, Mona with a postgraduate degree in the pure and applied sciences and has been working in the pharmaceutical industry since 2001.
His rural Jamaican upbringing has fostered a deep appreciation for nature and the arts, in particular creative writing and music. All of this has culminated in his expression through poetry with themes of nature, spirituality, philosophy and comedy.
Winroy regards himself a student of the mind and believes his poetry is very much universal, thought-provoking, inspirational and crafty at times. His mission is to positively influence minds. He considers himself not only a writer, but also a spoken-word poet. Onstage he performs using the name ‘WOW’ and aims to do just that every time he interfaces with his audience.view less
