His career with Shell took him north to Manchester in 1975, and with daughter Hannah and son Christopher having 'flown the nest', he is now settled in Sale, Cheshire with his Widnes born wife Lynn.
Finally introducing himself to Rugby League, courtesy of his wife's Widnes connections, Mike was instantly hooked on the game and, moved on with indecent haste to become a season ticket holder, sponsor and (minor) shareholder!
His involvement with the Vikings now includes his role as statistician for the club's matchday programme and being a member of the Supporters Club Committee.view less
