Chalmers, BSEE, MBA, received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo, where he was affiliated with Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu honor societies. Subsequently he completed a Master of Business Administration degree from Bowling Green State University.
Mr. Chalmers credentials while he was working included being a Registered Professional Engineer (OH), American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer, and American Society for Quality Certified Reliability Engineer.
The last 25 years of his career he held quality management positions and specialized in quality systems and application of statistics in manufacturing. In addition, Mr. Chalmers was on the adjunct faculty of Ivy Tech Community College and Purdue University (Fort Wayne) teaching statistics and statistics related classes.
Mr. Chalmers was active for many years in the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and was a recipient of ASQ0905’s Forest Guimont Award for contributions to the section. He has presented papers on various quality related subjects at various ASQ events.
Mr. Chalmers and his wife Cheryl reside in Auburn, Indiana where he spends much of his time in retirement and involved in the community.view less
