His debut novel, The Sleeping Man, was hailed by one out of his two parents as “a really okay book.” His time spent sleep-deprived as a sailor in the Navy gave him the inspiration to write the character of The Sleeping Man, pulling from experiences of lucid dreaming. Stephen lives in San Diego with his fiancée, daughter, and their cat.view less
