In 2009, he switched from fighting as a sport to teaching self-defense as a means of helping trauma victims re-empower themselves. He retired (sort of) from that work in 2016 after too many old injuries finally caught up with him.
Now Matt teaches Tarot and provides readings to help people wake up their intuition and reclaim more happiness in life.
