I went on to become the shop manager and later opened my own shop. I enjoyed great success until eyesight problems forced closure in 1992 when I was diagnosed with a degenerating eyesight condition. Needing to acquire new skills I Enrolled in adult education at the local college, passing the course with distinction and winning the college Principle’s annual prize for best student together with the south east region award for NIACE (National Institute for Adult Continued Education). I subsequently took my first office job working within a financial services call centre. A position I held for 19 years until blindness forced the end of my career.I now live alone, with my partner and four cats on the edge of the South Downs National park near Brighton.Follow me on facebook at: https;//www.facebook.com/steveforrestwriter.htmlPaperback copies are available through Amazon in your local region.view less
