His screenplay for INFIDEL was a semi-finalist in Screencraft's 2015 Short Screenplay Contest, and the short film went on to win a Platinum Remi Award at Worldfest-Houston International Film & Video Festival. The film also played Asian CineVision's 40th Annual Asian American Film Festival, Long Island International Film Expo, and several other film festivals around the country.
His first short film, CARTOON CHARACTERS, played a handful of festivals around the country including Florida Film Festival, rated a top-50 film festival in the world by INDIEwire, and culminating with Studio City International Film Festival in Los Angeles.
His latest short film, AN ACTOR PREPARES, is currently on the festival circuit.
A veteran of the US Air Force, Kight used the Post 9/11 GI Bill to study Film Studies at The Ohio State University and Creative Writing for Entertainment at Full Sail University.
His work has appeared on the digital platforms of Sports Illustrated, Fortune, Travel + Leisure, Time, InStyle, and more.
