At age 50, like many empty nesters she found her self with too much free time and an awareness of all the unchecked items on her bucket list. So, in addition to returning to the work force via temp agency employment and applying to several online schools to complete her long abandoned associates degree business, Mrs Shawver dug out and rewrote a short children's book and the dream of being a published author was reborn.
Besides being a writer Mrs Shawver is also the proud mom of two daughters, srepmom to two other daughters, grandma of one adorable grandson and an avid reader. Her hobbies include crafts, gardening, walking and occasionally fishing. Having grown up in a family of hunter's she is currently learning to shoot a crossbow and hopes to become proficient in target shooting with her recently acquired handgun as well. In past years she has been an organizer for political rallies, a volunteer with the Girl Scouts and a local clothing bank as well as many church bake sales and flea markets.view less
