She had always wanted to write a story like Super Jonny to help her patient's kids. Then, one day, when she was in hospital herself, her son came to visit dressed in his superhero suit. "Everybody just loved seeing this little boy dashing into the ward." she explains. "I guess you could say, that Super Jonny was born that day."

As a Mum who has lived with Crohn’s Disease for many years, she knows very well how a chronic illness can affect not only the person with it but also the family and family life. After years of learning and self-discovery, she has found ways for her and her family to cope.
