She was fourteen when she received the ÂYouth Visionary Award seed money to fund Youth Helping Youth which was her first ever endeavor into helping people. From there, she volunteered as HIV/AIDS peer educator and become the first youth to sit on the Board of the Greater Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross . After graduating from Henrico High School in 2003 , she pursued her dreams at Virginia Commonwealth University where she got an degree in Biology where she was on the fast track to medical school but then decided that she was better suited for social work, where she is now attending Liberty University to pursuing her dream of becoming a therapist.Destiny never believed that her writing would be anything more than self therapy until she allowed her coworker to read some of her poems and he was instantly inspired, he told her " If you don't publish them, I will. These words could save lives" and that is how she went from turning her journal of poems into a book.view less
