East England. Heather has always had a passion for writing, which was greatly encouraged when as a young girl she won a young author award for her short story and was invited to the annual young author’s conference in her home state of Maine.
Despite her love for writing, it remained a hobby for a number of years as she went on to study first psychology for her B.A. and then Buddhist Studies for her M.A..
That all changed however in 2012, when Heather decided to focus for the first time on her passion as a writer and began to work with screenwriting mentor, Chris Soth, (screenwriter of the movie Firestorm), on her first feature script ‘The Inbetween’.
In the autumn of 2012, Heather joined Film Colchester, where she discovered a new passion for writing and producing short films. Through the connections she made there, Heather spent the next year writing and producing four short films including, ‘Nothing Without Desire’, ‘No Time’, ‘Moments’ and ‘A Soft Spot’. Her film ‘No Time’ was the winner of the Signals Media 25th Anniversary Film Challenge.
During that time Heather also worked as a producer and/ or production manager on a number of other films for Director Mark Mountford, Director Isabelle Ricketts and Inquisition Media.
Heather’s most recent work as a production manager was for the award winning film maker, Dan Allen, on his film, ‘Glove Compartment’, starring Andrew Coppin and Jon Campling.
Heather’s recent projects include producing her next short film, ‘The Puppet Masters’ in which she made her directorial début. Heather had the great pleasure of working with her Co-Director, Sean Cronin, an enormously talented and prolific D.o.P., Director and Actor.
In 2014, Heather branched out to include video editing to her skillset. She has enjoyed filming and editing promotional and documentary videos in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, U.K..
In 2015 Heather wrote her second feature script, 'In Tune' which she is preparing to enter into film festivals and competitions.
In addition to film making, Heather is also a novelist. She has adapted her feature script ‘The Inbetween’ into a novel and is currently preparing it for publication.
Heather enjoys creating digital art to illustrate her ideas. She is currently creating a book trailer for The Inbetween with her digital art animations.view less
