Eleanor Pauline Dunne (nee Cosgrove) was born in Whitegate, County Cork, in the early decades of the twentieth Century, with many summers spent with her relations, the Givens in th...view moreEleanor Pauline Dunne (nee Cosgrove) was born in Whitegate, County Cork, in the early decades of the twentieth Century, with many summers spent with her relations, the Givens in the Glen of Aherlow in County Tipperary. Moving to Dublin at the age of eighteen, she only began to write poetry in the late 1990s, after having reared six children. Her poetry has been published in the Irish national newspapers, she has performed radio recitals of her work, and her poetry was included in the Pushkin Prizes Trust anthology of 1993–2001.view less
