She teaches both graduate an...view moreNeva Ann Medcalf, Ed.D. is Professor of Education and Director of the Master of Arts in Reading program at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She teaches both graduate and undergraduate students, supervises student teachers and interns, does extensive field experience in area schools, and provides professional development workshops for both public and private schools teachers. She has directed a summer reading program for children who come to the University campus, work with graduate students to strengthen their reading skills, and use those skills in the study of Earth Science. She has served on the Board of Directors and is Chair of Professional Development for the Achievers Center for Excellence, a secondary school for students with special needs. She is active at University United Methodist Church, teaching a Sunday School class for adults and volunteering for service in programs for the homeless such as the SAMM shelter.
Dr. Medcalf is the author of numerous articles regarding the language development of children, the testing of young children, and the uses of technology in training future teachers.

Kelsey Huber was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and graduated from MacArthur High School. She continued her education through volleyball with a full scholarship to St. Mary's University and is majoring in Art Education.
