But the one thing...view moreI grew up between two places. Our home in Kentucky, and my grandparents farm in Tennessee. A normal childhood with all the ups and downs that go along with growing up in the 70’s. But the one thing that I remember most was the fact that I always wanted to travel. While most of my friends were always talking about what they wanted to do in life, I wanted to see the world. I didn’t want to see the all pictures or hear the stories of the coast, or the Grand Canyon, or the Florida Keys, I wanted to go see it for myself. And the motorcycle gave me that chance. I didn’t realize that when I started riding that it would take me to all the places that it has. And when I got on a Harley Davidson, it changed a lot more than just what I was riding on. When they say that buying a Harley Davidson motorcycle gets you a lot more than just a motorcycle, they were right! The Harley Davidson motorcycle has opened more doors, gave me a chance to meet more people, and see more places than I ever thought possible. There is no better way to see the country than on 2-wheels.
Over the years I’ve traveled over most of this country. And most of it was on the back roads thru small towns. And I’ve found that this truly is a great country. And I hope that this story, the first of several to come, will show that there are still some good people out there that are willing to help a stranger when they need a helping hand. And in my travels, that happened to me more than once.
I hope you enjoy reading “The Journey” as much as I did writing it.
