After working on The News in Portsmouth, England for 21 years, he immigrated to Calgary in 1987. Here he worked for the Calgary Sun for a further 16 years, retiring in 2003. He has written two true-life crime books for Heritage House, and while in England he wrote books on sea-angling, the fire department and stamp collecting.view less
