He's been employed as a Special Education Teachers Aid, an on-air radio personality for KNGS Radio, earned a teaching credential from the University of California Berkeley before becoming an Adult Education Broadcasting Teacher. He's managed several national restaurant chains, and spent 23 years with Pacific Bell before becoming an award winning author.
As a legacy for his boys, he recreated and printed a couple of stories. Shortly thereafter, his first book, Boga Bear: Beat the Heat, was published in 2005, His second book, Boga Bear: Staying Cool, was also published, and both books were awarded the 2005 American Author's Association's Silver Medal Award for Children's Story Books. Mr. Silver has been an invited guest author at many schools in California and Washington where he has read his books to thousands of children.view less
