In 2013 he exchanged the Rockies for the Andes and took up residence in San Antonio de Prado, Antioquia, Colombia. He has a BA from West Texas A&M University. He studied pre-law as an undergraduate and minored in English Literature. He continued his love of English by pursuing an MA in English and Social Studies Education. He also studied psychotherapy at the graduate level. He has been a talent scout and manager in the Latin music industry. He has experience in vocal performance as well as theatre.
With the release of his first novel "The Wolf of the Highlands," (republished as MacGregor's Wolf: Lessons of Time), Bil began writing full time and teaching English in Medellin, Colombia. He established Bella Colombiana Publishing in 2013 as his own independent publishing label. The first book released on his indie label was "Zipaquirá" (republished as The Birth of a Dream), book one in "The Belle of Colombia Series." After publishing the Spanish translation as well, he released a second book to the series "Rionegro." (republished as The Desperation of Liberty). Since that time, he published another novel a little off his beaten path, "Whispers of Sage," which is a contemporary western romance. Branching out to bring in more of his diversity as a writer, Bil has just published a short Christian ebook, "A Christian Response to Troubled Times: 3 Principles for Survival," which will also become a short series of books.
Bil is continuing to work on additional books to his three series. Has a sequel to "Lessons of Time" in the works and has started work on another, new, full-length novel entitled "The Silence of the Prophets." In addition to writing his own books, Bil is a prolific ghostwriter who has written dozens of favorites in a number of genres. Keep looking for Bil's work in digital and print formats.view less
