She attended Virginia Episcopal School, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, from 1989-1992. She returned to Petersburg in 1992 where she completed her senior year at Petersburg High School. She completed her Associate’s degree in Psychology at Richard Bland (2004), and Bachelor’s in Psychology, at Virginia State University (2006). She is currently seeking her Masters in Counseling Studies, at Capella University (2013).
Anica has been writing for over 15 years. At first her interest in writing became a hobby. Immediately her family, friends, and teachers, recognized her creative way to express her thoughts on paper. During her years at Richard Bland’s she was published in the school’s magazine, Mnemosyne. She continued to write and was later asked to write a few freelance articles for a local magazine, The Southsider. Anica has always enjoyed writing poems, short stories, and the art of Spoken word. She recently decided to expand her craft by writing her first novel.
Anica lives according to her faith in God. She believes everyone has a divine purpose, which can only be obtained by being obedient and attending to God’s word. She also believes an individual must remain positive and embrace life, regardless of any circumstance. Through her personal struggles, she has found that he only way for her to succeed is to trust and believe in the work that God is doing through her.
Anica is the proud single mother of two sons Dylan & Deltan. She currently lives in Petersburg where she is very close to her immediate family. Anica’s plans include writing more novels, poetry, and perfecting her craft in Spoken word. She is determined to focus on her purpose and vision, by sharing her talents with everyone.view less
