Lee has fulfilled the first half of the suggestion in a series of feats: circling the globe (11 months); bicycling Atlantic to Pacific (eight weeks); kayaking Miami Beach to Baltimore (10 weeks); and walking Madrid to Lisbon (4 weeks). All the while writing. Feverishly writing.
While living in reverse, Lee has earned an M.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College and a Ph.D. in Romance Studies from the University of Miami. A Fulbright fellowship to Uruguay, too.
Lee married a Japanese flamenco dancer, tardily, and they have two darling children, splitting time between Kyushu and South Florida.
His novels include Author of Destiny: Also Known as the Ochoa Case; The Lifeguard Murders: A South Beach Story; and Clickety Clack, Clickety Clack: Abe Lincoln’s Train Done Jumped the Track.view less
