This was only a few...view moreShirley Langer is a Canadian who lived and worked in Cuba for almost five years during the mid 1960s. In Havana, Shirley worked as a translator and ESL teacher. This was only a few years after the country-wide literacy campaign which UNESCO declared to be the single most successful literacy program to date. Shirley currently resides in Victoria British Columbia where she volunteers as a tutor at Literacy Victoria and sings in The Gettin’ Higher Choir. Anita’s Revolution is her second book, the first being Road’s End: Tales of Tofino – short stories about the character of that remote village on Vancouver lsland’s Pacific coast and some of the intriguing characters who live there.view less
