I have seven brothers and sisters. My parents had a café where my mother cooked recipes handed down to her by her mother. My father ran the business. They worked hard for their success, and enjoyed our family life until my father died suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 54. My mother could not bear to be in the business without my father, and it was sold. She then spent the rest of her years waiting to join him.
After school, I went to university and obtained a degree in business. I met my husband and together we opened a restaurant working side by side, just like my parents, until, like my parents, my husband passed away from illness. We have two daughters: Grace and René who encouraged me to pursue my passion for writing.view less
