Since then, she’s worked as a journalist and in corporate public relations for the auto industry. Based in the Detroit area, her non-fiction work is largely biographical, focusing on sobriety, spirituality, healing and hope. Fisher shares her tragic, comedic, tender and twisted stories with the goal of helping others and believes very much that, “Our pain is our greatest gift.” She credits writers Anne Lamott and Erma Bombeck for their ability to find humor in adversity and wisdom in everyday life.Fisher received a BA in Journalism from Michigan State University and an MBA from The University of Michigan. She is most proud of her recovery, her volunteer work and the nine rescue animals she shares with her partner. She also spends a lot of time napping. Her sobriety date is March 23, 2004.Please sign up to receive her blog updates at http://cmyword.wordpress.com/view less
