McElfresh, and has published twenty-three historical base maps. In addition to maps she has edited and collated numerous books and articles for publication including Maps and Mapmakers of the Civil War (Abrams). Previous careers include forays into banking and public relations.Mrs. McElfresh graduated from St. Bonaventure University and London School of Economics. She is the mother of three: John, Reed and Diana. She has served two terms as an elected member of the Board of Education in her community. Born in Tokyo, Mrs. McElfresh has lived in three of the largest cities in the world, but is more than happy to call a rural area, hidden in the foothills of the Appalachians on a bend on the Allegheny River, home.view less
