Although I am a U.S. citizen, I’ve lived most of my life in Canada where I hold a Chartered Accountant (CA) designation. My undergraduate degree is in English and I pride myself on my communication skills. (I hope you’ll agree as you read this book.) My business career has spanned the last half-century. I have written 15 books on Canadian taxation and financial planning, several of which have been best sellers, although I am virtually unknown in the U.S.In 1984, I joined forces with a 17-year-old computer genius and we developed what became Canada’s foremost income tax system. The folks who own Turbo Tax and Quicken own the business today. In 1991, we sold our company and I was able to retire. I am comfortable but not wealthy. My last book on financial planning was written in 1993. I never thought I would have anything more to say. I was wrong!view less
