A passionate writer, she has spent many years writing poetry, children’s stories, fiction and testimonies. Her compassion for the broken-hearted motivated her to share the moving story of her adult son’s struggle with brain cancer in this, her first published book. With profound faith in God, she tells of the hopes, fears and frustrations the family faced, whilst intimate moments with her son are captured in unlikely situations. Léonie’s uncomplicated writing style invites readers into the core of her emotions, and allows them to walk alongside her son on this difficult road. She is hopeful that in so doing, those who are experiencing similar ordeals will be encouraged, and ultimately be able, as she was, to find the peace that dwells within the pain.
