Growing up she thought she would never go to college since she intensely disliked school. After high school she went to work as a receptionist and discovered she despised that even more. She decided that in order to get a job that would make her happy, she would have to go to college. So, she went after a college degree with enthusiasm studying journalism, thinking it was the only subject she had any aptitude for in the entire college catalog. Since that decision she has enjoyed her work. Being a freelance journalist has allowed her to travel, meet a multitude of interesting people and see her work in print on almost a daily basis for over twenty years. She has become a master storyteller and also found time to nurture a 22-year marriage and four children.view less
