Having taught high school English for many years, he has come to know what teenagers like. As a result, he has written a novel which will appeal to them in particular, although it will also appeal to adults who are still young at heart.
He also enjoys writing doggerel verse and was surprised to win the Slug Poetry Prize. He is currently involved in education management and was honoured to be a finalist in the South African National Teaching Awards for Excellence in Secondary School Leadership in 2004.
He is married and has two daughters and two grandchildren. This is his first novel.view less
