They met while attending local art classes, in which they still partici...view moreThe authors, Mary Anne Enslow and Mary Ann Jenkins are ladies who are retired from U.S. Government careers. They met while attending local art classes, in which they still participate, painting in several mediums such as watercolor. They each have children and grandchildren who keep them busy. They live in Southern Maryland and enjoy traveling. One day they discussed what an enterprise it would be to write a book. They decided that one would write the first chapter and the other would continue with the next and so on. It soon became clear that they had to merge their ideas to develop the story. After much planning and scheming that took nerve, resolve, energy and spirit, they put their thoughts and hearts together and this, their first book, “The Cardboard Box” became a reality.view less
