Gregory Babin grew up in Rochester, New York during the depression era.
He valued education very highly. He earned a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Rochester. during the 1930's.
He moved to Maryland in 1948, and then worked at the State Department as a librarian. He later worked for the Department of Defense as an analyst, and received commendations for his accomplishments.
During his tenure at the State Department, he earned a Master's Degree in Library Science from the Catholic University of America.
He was married for thirty-nine years to the late Lillian Kiener.
He has two surviving daughters; Susanne Paper lives in Florida and Marylin Jordan in Maryland. He has four wonderful grandchildren.view less
