Following many requests she has now written ‘Camus Answers’ the sequel, continuing with the much loved characters.
Fortunate to now own a mobility scooter Jessie has been able to continue her passion for the outdoors and particularly Scotland. Although she may not be able to climb mountains any longer she has grown to appreciate everything that this magical landscape offers.
Jessie has been inspired by the people she has met on her many caravan holidays along the West Coast. She has also learned a lot about the history and culture of the area. She vividly describes the colours she sees through the seasons and the wildlife encounters she has been privileged to experience.
Jessie has family history on the islands of Mull and Ulva. The novels subtly introduce the MacQuarrie clan to whom Jessie is related and refer to the sad days of the Highland Clearances which have been passionately researched by her husband.
Throughout her travels Jessie has been touched by the welcoming nature and the kindness of local people which features strongly throughout both novels and has left an enduring legacy.
The storylines introduce humorous caravan capers; many are based on Jessie’s own encounters. Both Camus Calling and Camus Answers will appeal to those who enjoy caravanning, those who love the Highlands and those who face the challenges of age or disability but refuse to give in!view less
