She earned a BS degree in journalism from NYU and a master’s in elementary education from Hofstra U. After teaching elementary school in Nassau County for twelve years, she returned to journalism as editor, full charge, of New Frontier magazine and copyeditor at The Sound Engineering Magazine. She married Michael Krantz and has three children. She lives in Fort Collins, Colorado.
