She won MuggleNet’s international “Dear Mr. Potter” essay contest and has received myriad national writing awards, including three Gold Keys and a Silver Key for various creative and journalistic pieces in the prestigious Scholastic Alliance for Young Artists and Writers competition. Saraf has been published in the national poetry anthology Communications, and is currently a regular columnist for the Ruston Daily Leader and the Shreveport Times. She is a senior at Cedar Creek School and lives in Ruston, Louisiana with her parents and younger brother.view less
