Ebony was raised by her mother, and became close with her father a few years before his death. She has three brothers, Kenneth, Byron and Tearius.
Ebony attended Cleveland public and private schools, graduating from Lutheran High School East in 2000. She ventured off to Michigan to attend Eastern Michigan University for two years, but came back home to finish her undergraduate degree at Cleveland State University, where she graduated cum laude. Ebony expanded her education and received her Master’s Degree in Communications Management from John Carroll University in 2011.
From an early age, Ebony knew she would be a writer. At the age of 4, her mother caught her writing her name in cursive and wondered how she learned to do it. Ebony won a number of poetry contest in grammar school and went on to start a newspaper for her High School, where she was Editor in Chief. In college, Ebony was a news writer and editor for their newspapers.
In addition to writing, Ebony helps and works in her community, particular the inner city, where she spent the early part of her childhood. She also is family oriented and enjoys spending time with her family rather that’s hanging out at the movies or watching reruns of the Golden Girls at home.
Today, Ebony is a Journalist in the Cleveland, Ohio area. This is her first of many novels.view less
