He has been an Economic Affairs Officer at the Office of Policy and Programme Coordination of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, a visiting scholar to the Research Departments of the International Monetary Fund and to the World Bank in Washington DC. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics and has been a post-doctoral research fellow at the Research Centre on Economics, Finance and Administration (CREFA) at the University Laval (Canada). Among others Dr Gbetnkom is a member of the African Economic Research Consortium and has conducted studies and published in several leading Journals in the areas of Macroeconomics, Development economics, regional and monetary integration and international finance.view less
