His three children; Gary, Brian, and Christy grew up and went to public school in Tehachapi, which has been a great place to live, work and raise a family. Dr. Conklin has served on short missionary trips to places like Vietnam, Bangladesh, Honduras, Chile, Columbia and Mexico, often accompanied by his wife, a registered nurse.
During the 1980’s, while living in Egypt and Saudi Arabia he started writing articles that were printed in the Tehachapi News, and more recently he wrote ‘All or Nothing’. His stories are flavored by his past experiences, but the fictional personalities are products of his energetic imagination.
