He and his Wife, Evangelist Barb...view morePastor Franklin A. Alvey, BA, MA, Ph.D., Th.D., is the Senior Associate Pastor and Chief Operations Officer of Emmanuel Church in Portland, Oregon. He and his Wife, Evangelist Barbara J. Alvey, have been married for over 52 years. They have two wonderful children. Their daughter Jennifer is a missionary to the Far East working with distraught children. Franklin and Barbara have been members of Emmanuel Church for more than 32 years. He spends the majority of his time in counseling, writing, teaching and Church administration while simultaneously acting as aide to Bishop C.T. Wells, Senior Pastor of this Inner City Church.
Franklin served in the Korean War. He is a decorated member of the US Marine Corps, Force Reconnaissance, where he served as sniper and scout swimmer.view less
