Harris, an experienced school administrator in the New York City Department of Education Public School System, has more than 25 years servicing the adolescent population through direct instruction, counseling, mentoring, and motivational speaking engagements. Mr. Harris holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism, a Masters of Arts in Education, Adult Education and Distance Learning, and a Masters in Science in School Administration and Supervision. A published writer of works about the History of Black Jockeys, African American History and prominent sports figures. He has also worked as a beat reporter for the Poughkeepsie Journal daily newspaper. Mr. Harris currently formed C.D Harris Educational Consultants, LLC. He is available for speaking and book signing appearances. Mr. Harris resides in New Jersey with his wife, Andrea, a New York City educatior and two children, son Cameron, 17, and daughter Diarra 11.
