At age 10 Willem his parents and siblin...view moreWillem was born during the first year of the Nazi occupation in Holland. His father a member of the Dutch police force joined the underground during the war. At age 10 Willem his parents and siblings immigrated to Canada. The change was a difficult one for Willem and resulted in being a highschool drop-out with very little hope for the future. Given the opportunity to attend a Christian Highschool and College with great athletic programs changed Willem's life. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education and received a Master of Science degree from the University of Oregon. Willem spent many years as a teacher and coach in Canada and the United States. The past 20 years he operated a successful insurance and financial planning agency in Alberta,Canada with his family. He and his wife share tee times between Alberta and California.view less
