She and her husband, George K. Armes, were married for forty-nine years and raised four daughters, Elizabeth, Rosemary, Kathryn, and Kerry. While married to George, his profession required their living in various cities in the United States and
other countries. After George’s death in 1983, Frances married John R. Benedict. Widowed once again, she married William B. Carson in 1990.
Through the years, especially while living overseas, Frances had the opportunity to learn about, share, and observe many religions and cultures. Her strong interest in religion grew, and she invited others to join her in religious discussion groups. From a lifetime of study and teaching in churches as well as her discussion group experiences, she has written and published her poems for inspiration.view less
