Born in Augusta, Georgia in the year of 1982, Takisha Perry was reared by her parents and protected by her older sister. Never having one place to call home, instead known as a nomad among her friends. Her father was in the military, traveling was his job and moving was her life. After a little adjustment Takisha soon began to enjoy traveling though she was forced to leave her friends every few years and once again, become the new girl in class. As A result of this lifestyle she developed a personality that many found comforting, optimistic and
unique. Out of her uniqueness grown a love for poetic expression.Recently Takisha Perry published her first book titled When She-Motions hit the page a book of poetry and started a tri-state tour to promote her publication.
Multiple Signings at: The CNN Center in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia ,Barnes and Nobles ,Aafees ,the historic African American campus of Paine College just to name a few.
