Majored in Music Business Management, with a minor in music, bu...view moreMilcah Flowers is a native of Michigan and spent time in California and Chicago respectively. She graduated Columbia College in 2002. Majored in Music Business Management, with a minor in music, but transferred into the fiction writing department in her last semester. She has worked in odd jobs such as production welding, rock band musician, and Library assistant while establishing herself as a writer. She categorizes herself as a nomad of life, of the On the Road experience, living through tragedies and triumphs while learning about the world and the people in it, along the way. She is a formerly classically trained musician, from an early age, piano being her first instrument, later violin and cello, which she performed in All-City Orchestra in high school. She grew a profound interest in writing while spending a number of her developmental years creating stories, poems, and short operettas, one of which was performed at a monthly salon, during her enrollment at Roosevelt University-CMC. The Dossier was inspired by a student writing project during 2009, while modifying Diamonds in the Rough, a stage play. The passing of her brother in 2011 accelerated the desire to complete the project. She is currently working on a collection of short stories and another novel.view less
