They turned to Sandy’s mother, Juanita Kaylor, an artist living in Conyers, Georgia, for the illustrations to make this a three-generation project. Sandy is a retired teacher living in Fairfax Station, Virginia, who enjoys working with horses, hiking with her Australian shepherd, and teaching yoga. Laura, an alumna of the College of William and Mary, will soon enter graduate school to continue training as a physician’s assistant. She still has a soft spot for fat pinto ponies. Juanita, young at ninety years old, paints several hours daily. Her favorite portrait subjects are family pets.view less
