About this audiobook

I’m fascinated by the stories dead bodies tell. And murdered bodies tell the most interesting ones.

A dark, enemies-to-lovers, bodyguard romance, perfect for fans of Sophie Lark’s Broken Vow and Brynne Weaver’s Black Sheep.

When bodies start turning up with connections to her father’s cartel, Regenia Cortez is pulled back into the dangerous world she left behind years ago.

She doesn’t know who she can trust, least of all Roan Fox—the man hired by her father to keep her safe.

Forced into each other’s lives, Reggie and Roan find themselves tangled in a sinister plot that runs much deeper than they ever thought.

Tensions rise, and the lines they swore not to cross start to blur.

Their own demons threaten to tear them apart, but one thing is for certain—he will stop at nothing to keep her safe.

This is a dark, adult romance. For a detailed list of content, please visit SummerOtoole.com/content.

It was good. The banter in the beginning was funny. The ending felt rushed. However, there is something about Reggie's voice that doesn't quite fit this sort of book/plot. I also found the actual character to be quite annoying. Her actions were impulsive and always cause the hurt of others. She seemed to think she's big and bad but always ended up having others pay for her decisions as consequences. I'll give this author another go, but probably read not listen

This was interesting. The story flowed well and I sorta liked them as a couple. I do wish more details were provided about the villain of the story. And I'm glad for the vulnerability of the guy at the end. Get some therapy dude

The female narrator has a great voice...but I feel like maybe she needs more practice? I'm not sure what it is but her flow is choppy and it felt like she wasn't into the story.

Unfortunately, I feel that the female narrator is all wrong for this particular part/role and it was hard [for me] to not focus on that throughout the story.
